The Palacio National and all the names of the dead are especially haunting. The bloody history of Guatemala is so often overlooked and people tend to forget that genocide occurred--in recent memory and even our own lifetime!Thank you for the wonderful post. Best of luck to you, and have fun in Asia--or maybe fun isn't so much the goal--but enjoy your experience!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6376217218652932175.post-37082190262397945942007-10-02T18:15:00.000-07:002007-10-02T18:15:00.000-07:00great journeys to you. i wish i could meet up with...great journeys to you. i wish i could meet up with you somewhere along your your way.
your presence is missed on campus. take care, im sure we will cross paths again.

-russel......the Pasturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02784262650008877626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6376217218652932175.post-36219725989657464232007-10-02T16:55:00.000-07:002007-10-02T16:55:00.000-07:00Jacob, this is James Conrad, from Woodstock. About a month ago I was teaching a young cousin how to make the "B52" paper airplanes that you and I used to throw over the edge of Hostel and it reminded me of then.

Judging by what I read I don't think I need to remind you to enjoy and immerse yourself, so I'll just let you know that I'll be keeping up and reading your posts here often. Your first post was beautifully written and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Have a fantastic trip.

~JamesYimmy of the Tribunalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09785674976428133733noreply@blogger.com
